The City of Salisbury has grants for your exterior home repairs, for business development and for historic preservation. Grants are a type of financial aid that does not need to be repaid. Check out current available grants:
Downtown Revitalization Grant
Established by City Council in 2014 to promote economic growth within the Downtown Municipal District.
Historic Preservation Grant
These matching grants, up to $2,500, are available on a competitive basis for exterior projects on owner-occupied homes in Salisbury’s four residential local historic districts.
Innes Street Improvement Grant
Assists property and business owners within the Innes Street Improvement District with enhancements to building façades, landscapes, driveways, and parking lots.
Municipal Service District Grant
Assists property and business owners within the Downtown Municipal Service District with enhancements to building facades, landscapes, driveways, and parking lots.
Offers qualified investors certain tax benefits when they invest unrealized capital gains into selected low-income areas.
Paul Bruhn Downtown Historic Revitalization Grant
A competitive sub-grant program to rehabilitate commercial properties in downtown.
Park Avenue Housing Rehabilitation Program
A program to help improve housing conditions and neighborhood appearance.
